Getting started with DIA:CONN app

You can start using the DIA:CONN app following the next steps.

  1. Download the DIA:CONN app from the App Store or Google Play. (Save and install it on your smart device)

  2. Open the app.

  3. Log in using your existing account or create a new one (For Android, use your Google account; for iOS, use either your Google or Apple account).

  4. Follow the setup steps after logging in to the app.

About the User Before Starting:

Before using the app, it is essential to consult with a healthcare provider for calculations and information.

CAUTION

To safely use the dosage calculator, it's crucial to ensure that the treatment settings are correct. Please proceed after consulting with a healthcare provider.

The time setting and cartridge replacement of the insulin pen must be done accurately.

CAUTION

If the time setting on the insulin pen and cartridge replacement are not done accurately, using the DIA:CONN app may not be effective.

Pen Registration

Pen Registration must precede the use of the Pen tab in the app.

  1. Navigate to the Pen Registration menu under the "More" tab.

  2. Press the "Add Pen" button at the bottom.

  3. Enter the Pen Serial Number (SN) consisting of 11 digits and the Validity Code (VC) which is 4 digits.

  4. Verify the registered pen in the list of pens.

Pen Connection

1Press the "Connect Device" button or the BLE icon in the Pen tab.

2When the Bluetooth connection request popup appears, press "Pair".

3When the Bluetooth connection request pop-up appears, enter the 6 characters of the Bluetooth passkey displayed on the pen into the app's pop-up window.

4Make sure the top card section of the pen tab is enabled.

Insulin Configuration

1After performing the above series of actions, click the "Set Insulin" button in the insulin configuration pop-up that appears. (If the pop-up does not appear, press the gear-shaped settings button in the top right corner of the card section and navigate to the insulin tab.)

2On the insulin configuration screen, set the insulin name and expiration date, then press the save button.

3In the insulin tab's card section, verify if the insulin type you set at the top is displayed correctly.

Connecting CGM Device

Connecting the CGM device is not mandatory, but if connected, you can utilize additional features necessary for glucose control.

  1. Navigate to the "More" tab in the DIA:CONN application (app).

  2. Select the type of CGM data source you intend to use.

  3. Follow the instructions at the bottom to connect to the CGM system.
