This is a single-user, home-use pen injector designed for patients with diabetes or patients aged 7 and above, who wish to self-administer insulin at their desired dosage under the supervision of an adult caregiver. The pen injector is compatible with Lilly Humalog® U-100 3.0mL cartridges, Novo Nordisk Novolog® U-100 3.0mL cartridges, Novo Nordisk Fiasp® U-100 3.0mL cartridges, and disposable detachable pen needles (not included). Using the pen injector allows for insulin doses ranging from 0.5 to 60 units in 0.1 unit increments.
Before use, a qualified healthcare professional specializing in diabetes management should program patient-specific target glucose levels, insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios, and insulin sensitivity parameters into the software, which is based on the amount of carbohydrates.
For insulin dosages based on fixed/estimated meal sizes, a healthcare professional should provide patient-specific fixed/estimated meal quantities to be programmed into the software before use.
