CAUTION
Even if you have used the DIA:CONN app before, you must read this manual before using it again. Failure to follow the instructions may result in too much or too little insulin being delivered.Do not use the smart device or DIA:CONN pen if any of the components appear to be broken or damaged.
Always carry an extra insulin delivery device in case the DIA:CONN pen is lost or damaged.
The DIA:CONN application (app) is a diabetes management tool that tracks insulin dosage, calculates insulin dosage based on current glucose levels and carbohydrate intake, and facilitates sharing treatment information with the medical team.
The insulin dosage calculations provided in the app are intended for patients receiving Multiple Daily Injections (MDI) therapy. The bolus calculator supports the optimization of glucose control in MDI patients with the assistance of healthcare professionals experienced in insulin therapy management. Additionally, the bolus calculator helps reduce patients' fear of hypoglycemia and enhances their confidence in diabetes management.
The bolus calculator tracks active insulin to alleviate insulin stacking.
Platform Description
The DIA:CONN platform includes the DIA:CONN Smart Insulin Pen and the DIA:CONN app. The DIA:CONN platform automatically logs insulin doses, provides alerts if insulin is not administered, incorporates a personalized insulin bolus calculator, and can be connected to other diabetes devices including Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems.
